Exterior paint projects continue to rise in demand. Many homeowners are looking to revitalize their living spaces with clean siding and fresh paint.
Recently, our team at LaffCo. Painting was called to a traditional family home on the Main Line in the suburbs of Philadelphia. These homeowners requested that we completely transform the exterior of their house. Our team was ready to give this classic home a fresh makeover.
Before
This Main Line home already had great curb appeal prior to our renovations. In addition to beautiful landscaping, this house featured a fair mix of stone and stucco siding, a spacious patio, and a gorgeous chimney. However, this house was missing the bright atmosphere the homeowners needed as the stucco originally had a tan or beige hue.

After
The clients desired to switch the exterior from a brown shade to a sleek white color. The family ultimately chose Simply White by Benjamin Moore to illuminate the outside of their house.
But, a fresh paint project was not the only task for this job. In addition to painting the stucco, the clients also asked our team to whitewash the stone, including the stone on the chimney.
Whitewashing is a common practice used to protect brick from substances like mold and mildew while leaving a consistent shine on the exterior surface. Whitewashing is common, yet the process is very labor-intensive. To get started, our team members had to apply the whitewash with a brush. Once the wash dried, we then removed the excess with a rag. While the method can be time-consuming, the results were truly stunning and rewarding.

In the end, this conventional house was refreshed thanks to the painting and whitewashing by our team. We were thrilled to add to the amazing atmosphere of this Main Line home.
