Most of the time, our home improvement efforts are centered around customizing the inside of our house. However, this Gladwyn estate focused their attention on updating the exterior of their home. Our team at LaffCo. Painting was excited to undertake this home improvement project.
First, our team analyzed the exterior design of the family home. The structure of the house was outdated and in need of our assistance. We picked a Shiitake neutral beige color, adding a blend of warmth and coolness to the base of the house.
The exterior of the Gladwyn house consists of a blend of stucco and siding. Our team added consistency to the diverse wall structure with fresh paint. We chose to use the color Natural Tan by Sherwin Williams to complement the beige from the new foundation.
Once the foundation and exterior walls were complete, our team moved to the smaller details. We observed the great outdoor features of the Gladwyn house including the pergola and decorative columns. The pergola imitates the asymmetry of the siding with the blend of light and dark colors. We determined our next steps were to continue that personality to the other features of the exterior.
First, we focused our attention on the windows. We decided that the shutters were in need of an updated coat of paint. Our team selected an Iron Ore hue to restore the outdated window shutters.
Lastly, every home needs a pop of bright color to add character to the structure. Our team decided to use a classic Red Barn color for the front door. This red-tan contrast is traditional, yet adds an intriguing and welcoming sensation to the entrance of the house.
Ultimately, our team completed the task of modernizing this Gladwyn estate by concentrating on the exterior paint. We selected a range of beiges and greys to add a sleek elegance to the outer areas of the home. The pop of red on the door increased the charm, sophistication, and curb-appeal of this house.
