This summer, LaffCo. Painting stepped away from the usual household painting projects to spruce up the interior of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Located in Northeast Philadelphia, the church upholds over 100+ years of impressive history.
The church first officially opened for services in December 1870. Since then, it has undergone many changes and expansions to accommodate the growing population.
LaffCo. arrived on the location ready for the job. First, the team primed and painted the 25 foot ceilings. The trim was brightened up with Snowbound by Sherwin-Williams.
Next, we got to work on the window frames and doors. We created a custom-made maroon paint to match the existing paint on the surfaces. It was vital that we maintained the historic look of the church by keeping the colors as close to original as possible. It was even more important that we work carefully so as not to disturb the beautiful stained glass windows.
To finish, the altar and railing were carefully coated with Snowbound in Semi Gloss.
