We’ve all seen the stunning Before and After pictures, the Pinterest posts, and the HGTV footage of dream kitchens with deep red walls and beige accents. It’s become a lot less common to find kitchens with a neutral color scheme.
We changed it up in this kitchen with Cornforth White from Farrow and Ball. While the LaffCo. Painting team does love a dramatic pop of color, you don’t have to be bold for a striking difference. The client had clean and crisp white cabinets with a gray countertop that enhanced our neutral color choice.
The homeowner’s bathroom was also painted this same color to keep the modern look consistent throughout the home. It is in this room that you can see how the color also looked beautiful with dark wood.
The homeowner wanted to lighten up their ceiling with Benjamin Moore’s Mountain Peak White. We also used Mountain Peak White for the trim, base, casings, and crowns to tie the rooms together. It added a warm element to the home that complemented the tan walls.
Neutral colors are a wonderful option for a space you want to keep versatile, calming, and light. With simple walls the design opportunities are endless because you can always add a splash of color with your furniture and décor.
Let this Gladwyne carriage house prove to you that change doesn’t have to be scary, dramatic, or expensive!
