Moving is always a challenge. There are tons of things to consider before packing up all your things and leaving. Is it within your budget? Is it the right size for your family? Do you like the area you’re relocating to? These are just a few examples.
Say you finally find the place you’re looking for and you ticked enough check-boxes to make the move. There might be one additional consideration waiting for you — Does the interior feel like home?
Our clients moving into their new house in Horsham felt like the rooms could be altered to better suit their vision. Luckily, LaffCo. Painting knew just what to do. Together, we transformed their new home into the haven they were looking for!
Starting on the main floor, the new homeowners decided that neutrals would create the perfect atmosphere. The dining room, living room and family room walls got a touch of light grays that contrasted beautifully with the chestnut wooden floors. Adding on to the cohesive gray palette, the entrance, foyer and hallway were all painted in Edgecomb Gray by Benjamin Moore. Because this elegant shade matches with just about any color, decorating will be a breeze!
The powder room got a hint of variety with Beach Glass by Benjamin Moore. Meanwhile, the kitchen shined in the sunlight with its bright cabinet panels in Panda White by Sherwin Williams. The color inspires even the most beginner cook to work some magic in front of the stove!
For the finishing touch downstairs, the bedroom near the family room got a fresh coat of paint, sticking to the elegant gray theme.
Upstairs, fresh inspiration awaited us. The master bathroom got its ceiling adorned in Super White by Benjamin Moore, helping the space feel airy and wide. Additionally, the walls took on the familiar note of the Edgecomb Gray that can be found in the rooms downstairs.
As with any home, the master bedroom requires special care. We painted the walls in Quiet Moments by Benjamin Moore. The beautiful light blue note creates a sense of calm, which is much needed for those tough early mornings!
Finally, we moved on to the garage. We coated the walls in Duration Exterior Acrylic Latex by Sherwin Williams for long-lasting protection. Because low sheen is so easy to clean, it was the perfect choice.
When we were finished, our clients were so thrilled that their new house started feeling like a home! The rooms now look like what they dreamed up – elegant, modern and sleek – and they can’t wait to move in!
