There’s nothing better than coming home to a relaxing environment after a long day. That’s exactly what the owners of this Broomall home wanted, so they called LaffCo. Painting to help them design the calmest space possible.
The rooms originally had off-white cream colored walls, which didn’t create that wave of calm the owners were looking for. Grays are known to be relaxing, so we brought over a number of gray color swatches to look through together. After going over the options, the clients selected Reflection for the entrance room, living room, kitchen and hallway. They also wanted the ceiling and trims in those rooms painted white.
We couldn’t be happier that they chose that color! It’s the perfect balance between a cool and warm gray, plus it has the amazing ability to complement its surroundings. It also pairs so well with the home’s dark wood floors.
We started off painting the entrance room walls, which really brought the space to life. It worked flawlessly with the room’s white, black and dark brown decor.
When we finished painting the living room, the color instantly created a serene atmosphere. That room has a large light beige carpet, so the adaptive wall color now reflects a warmer tone. It’s the perfect spot to kick up your feet and say “ahhhh.”
The kitchen can be a stressful space at times, but with the right wall color, it could also become your favorite room. Reflection worked wonders in this kitchen! The room has a lot of whites – from the floor to the cabinets – so the walls add a pop of calming color. This will make cooking for the holidays seem like a breeze!
Finally, we moved to the hallway. With this neutral shade, the area no longer looks cramped or stuffy. It reflects off the light coming through the window and the room’s white trims, making the space feel more open.
For the finishing touch, we painted the ceiling and trims white, making the rooms look extra fresh.
The homeowners love how tranquil their rooms now look, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome ourselves!
