Summer is finally in full swing – time to head down the shore!
While you’ve invested plenty of time into keeping your pipes in pristine working condition, have you given the exterior of your home the same attention?
The elements are wreaking havoc on your shore house! Whether it’s the scorching summer heat, spring rains, winter subzero temperatures, or fall’s dangerous hurricane season, the exterior of your vacation home really takes a beating all year long.
When a family returned to Avalon at the start of the summer, they finally realized how damaged their beloved shore house truly was. The siding was worn down, the shutters were faded, and the decks were worn. Even their unpainted Azek trim was looking a little worse for wear.
LaffCo. Painting didn’t waste a minute getting started on this project. After all, we didn’t want the family to miss out on a moment of beach time!
The siding was painted with Sherwin Williams Duration Exterior. We custom matched the color to the existing paint on the siding in order to maintain the look of the house.
The Azek trim was given a coat of Duration Exterior paint in Extra White. No more dull, unfinished trim!
Since the shutter paint had faded so much, we knew they required special attention. We painted them in Resilience Exterior Acrylic Paint in one of Sherwin Williams’ most popular colors: Relaxed Khaki. No matter what the weather may be, these shutters will maintain their brilliance for years to come.
Finally, we moved on to the deck. We re-stained the entire surface with Cabot’s Australian Timber Oil in Jarrah Brown. It practically looks brand new!
When we were done with it, the house looked as good as new. Time for the owners to take over for the summer and enjoy their time down the shore!
