Correct me if I’m wrong, but teal belongs in the kids’ room, not the master bedroom!
A Lansdale homeowner felt the same way, and called LaffCo. Painting for some assistance in transforming their master suite a more grown-up place to relax after a long day.
With vaulted ceilings above the bed and a separate lounge area, this bedroom had all of the makings of the perfect master suite. Even the bathroom was spacious and perfectly set up for relaxing.
But the vibrant blueish hues along the walls were anything but calming.
After taking one look at the setup of the room, we knew that its unique setup required a bit more work to help break up the space while still tying the entire suite together.
We installed white chair rail trim around the entire room, and decided to split the walls into two relaxing gray tones by Benjamin Moore: Pigeon Gray (below the chair rail) and Sidewalk Gray (above the chair rail).
After we painted the ceilings white, we moved on to the bathroom. We wanted to keep the same theme in the bathroom, while still protecting the paint from damage due to moisture from the bath and shower.
Chair rail was added in the bathroom, along with the same two shades of gray used in the bedroom. Once the paint had dried, we applied a coat of Benjamin Moore’s Aura Bath & Spa Matte Finish Paint.
Now the freshly-painted bathroom walls will stay dry and protected from moisture, and the homeowners can enjoy their relaxing new master suite for years to come!
