No matter how hard we try, it always happens to the best of us.
You take on one little home improvement project, and before you know it, you’ve got a laundry list of new things to be done around the house to complete the new look!
A client in Chestnut Hill just installed brand new wood windows in the first floor of their home.
The windows looked great…but the color scheme was all wrong! And it wasn’t just the trim…now their living room and dining room were both in desperate need of a bright new look!
They contacted LaffCo. Painting for help with this project that had become much bigger than they anticipated!
We were happy to help them out – with our team on the job, this mountain of a project was completed in no time flat!
Because the new windows made the first floor so much warmer and brighter, we went with a color scheme to match. We selected very light shades of gray with subtle brownish hints in them to reflect all of the natural light around the rooms.
While the base of each color was the same, the hues were just slightly different between the rooms. By keeping the same color scheme and shifting hues slightly in each room, the space had a sense of uniformity while still being visibly split into very separate areas.
The living room was painted in a lighter shade called Edgecomb Gray by Benjamin Moore, which also brought out the brown-gray tones of the decorations and furniture. The room looks like such a bright, warm place to host a party or spend a Sunday morning with the family!
The color of the dining room and stairwell – Revere Pewter – still has hints of light brown in it, but is slightly more gray than the color used in the living room.
To break up the space in the dining room, we painted the chair rail in White Dove, which was also used for the ceilings and trim throughout the first floor.
The clients were so grateful for our help. A large-scale project that would have required days of work and caused countless headaches was completed quickly and efficiently by our team. Now the client can sit back, relax, and enjoy the warm new look of their home!
