Neutral Paint Color for Living Room

Living room painted in Quiver Tan.

Homeowners in Schwenksville contacted the experts at LaffCo. Painting with an all-too-common problem – an open kitchen & living room whose paint colors didn’t complement one another.

Neutral Paint Color For Living Room

The project started because of a bright red accent wall by the fireplace (picture below). The color limited many decorating options and was overwhelming for some guests.

Quiver Tan (SW6151) from Sherwin-Williams was chosen to help neutralize the room and match existing furniture.

Kitchen Continuity

Living Room + Kitchen - After

Connecting the Kitchen & Living Room.

Since the living room opened into the kitchen, the LaffCo. team advised on using a complementary color rather than a) using more of the existing green color in the kitchen or b) using Quiver Tan for the entire large space.

Universal Khaki (SW6150) now joins the two spaces nicely. Classic White trim completes the look.
