Cabinet Resurfacing in WarringtonIt’s no secret that kitchen remodeling projects can quickly spiral out of control.

However, homeowners looking to cost-effectively enhance the look of their kitchen should think about refinishing existing cabinets.

Recently, a family in Warrington decided to do just that to upgrade their builder-grade cabinets.

How To Paint Cabinets Properly

The start-to-finish process of refinishing existing cabinets involves three steps:

  • Sand down existing surfaces and prime using adhesion primer for the best grip.
  • Paint in desired color using a Rich Lux Semi-Gloss which is best suited for kitchen surfaces (particularly cabinets).
  • Glaze for additional effect.

As a small add-on to the project, the bar (pictured below) was refinished and given an antique effect by sanding the edges.

The result certainly gives the kitchen an entirely new feel – all at a fraction the cost of either remodeling entirely or replacing the cabinets!
